Meet Melissa

Melissa is the founder of The Nutmeg Home, a New England interiors and lifestyle brand that began as a home, gift, and clothing store she owned and operated for several years.
Following the close of the retail shop, Melissa and her family entered a season of change that included several moves, new places, and eventually, a new home. During that time, her work shifted toward residential interiors, with projects focused on staging, furniture layouts, color selections, and decorating.

Today, Melissa is continuing her education in Residential Interior Design through the New York Institute of Art and Design while developing the next chapter of The Nutmeg Home. Much of that chapter is unfolding at home, where she is updating and decorating her family's New England property and sharing the process along the way.

Beyond interiors, Melissa has a longstanding love of photography, seasonal living, hosting, and gathering around a beautiful table. The Nutmeg Home is a reflection of those interests—a place for interiors, home projects, entertaining, and life in New England.
